The thirteenth edition of Prague Museum Night took place on Saturday 11 June, 2016. This popular cultural event, promoting activities of museums and galleries, has been offering a possibility to visit Prague cultural heritage sites at night since 2004. There are 52 museums, galleries and other cultural institutions participating this year, opening 80 unique buildings.
Czech Radio, Lucerna Gallery – Contemporary Art Venue, Centre of Administration and Operations of the Czech Academy of Sciences, National Memorial to the Heroes of the Heydrich Terror, Slovak House in Prague and Charles University - Historical Residence Carolinum took part for the first time this year.
Once again Prague Museum Night 2017 will deliver its main mission to offer visitors a chance to visit cultural sites at night (7.00 p. m to 1.00 a. m.) and provide free admission and transport. Also this year, there will be a rich accompanying programme available. Prague Museum Night is organized by the National Museum, the Prague Public Transport Company and the Czech Association of Museums and Galleries, in cooperation with other institutions.

When? Prague Museum Night 2016 will take place on Saturday June 11, 2016 starting at 7.00 p.m. and ending at 1.00 a.m. the next day.
Where? 52 institutions will open the doors of their 80 buildings all around Prague. You can find the complete list of institutions in the Institutions section.
How much will I pay? There will be free entrance and transport by special Prague Museum Night buses during the thirteenth year of the event. An exception is the Vyšehrad National Cultural Monument which will charge a symbolic entrance fee of 1 CZK.
How can I get there? The transport will be provided by the special museum night shuttles which will be run by the Prague Public Transport Company. There will be 10 lines which will go to the participating buildings all around Prague. The central transfer point will be, as usual, Jan Palach Square near Staroměstská tube station – green line A.
Where can I get information? Information tents will be located at Wenceslas Square in front of the Historical Building of the National Museum and at Jan Palach Square.
